ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot Kicks Off Week 1 Stateside in College Station

Saturday, September 3, 2023, marks the return to greatness for ESPN’s iconic College GameDay Built by The Home Depot when No. 7 Utah takes on No. 9 Florida at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Fla.

The popular pregame show will originate in the heart of Aggieland for the first time ever, bringing its signature blend of analysis, storytelling, and humor to the historic Kyle Field.

The show will air live from 9:00 AM to noon ET on ESPN and ESPN2, with a special pregame edition of College GameDay on ESPNU airing from 8:00 to 9:00 AM ET. Fans can also catch all the action on the ESPN App, streaming live on ESPN+, and SiriusXM Channel 84.

This marks the first time that College GameDay has kicked off the season outside of Bristol, Connecticut, since 2017 when the show traveled to Jacksonville to cover the Florida-Michigan game. It’s also the first time that the show has visited Texas A&M since 2016 when the Aggies hosted Auburn.

ESPN events and production vice president, Stephanie Druley said in a press release:

"We're thrilled to open the 2023 season of College GameDay Built by The Home Depot in College Station, Texas. Texas A&M has one of the most passionate fan bases in the country."

"We're excited to showcase the Aggies and the vibrant atmosphere of Kyle Field to a nationwide audience."

The Aggies are coming off a 10-win season in 2022, which included a 31-28 victory over No. 15 Mississippi in the Liberty Bowl. They are led by quarterback Haynes King, who threw for 2,718 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2022.

The Utes are coming off a Pac-12 championship season in 2022, which included a 47-24 victory over No. 4 USC in the championship game. They are led by quarterback Cameron Rising, who threw for 2,941 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2022.

The matchup between Utah and Florida is one of the most anticipated games of the 2023 season. It's a battle between two of the top teams in the country, and it's sure to be a great way to kick off the new season of College GameDay.

In addition to the game, College GameDay will also feature a variety of other segments, including interviews with players and coaches, analysis from ESPN’s team of experts, and features on the history and tradition of Texas A&M. The show will also have a special guest picker, who will help make predictions for the day’s games.
